Tamayo, Betalú, Bou, Ventura, Pasamontes and Mojica will fight for the Victory at the Titan Tropic Cuba by Gaes

10-11-2016.- Titan Tropic Cuba by Gaes will live its second edition from December 3rd  to 8th  with a luxury participation, in which more than 150 participants will enjoy the Cuban jungle and a route of pure MTB of almost 500km along a prologue by Havana and five stages in the western part of the island, in the provinces of Artemisa and Pinar del Río.

Amongst the main favorites, although this type of extreme stage tests always give rise to surprises, we find renowned cyclists such as the Colombian Diego Alejandro Tamayo - winner of the test - Josep Betalú - winner of the Gaes Titan Desert by Garmin 2016-, Roberto Bou – runner-up last year at the Tropic - Ismael Ventura - champion of the Roc d'Azur - the former road professional Luis Pasamontes or the Cuban runner Jose Mojica, who in the last edition showed that he has qualities to fight for the victory.

The Cubans Alvaro Soca and Yasmani Balmaceda, and the Spaniards Carlos Portilla and Jose Luis Gómez Miranda will also be other contenders for great feats, while in the women's category Olga Anabel Echenique will defend her victory against the Catalan Mireia Barberá and other contenders.

The second edition of the event has brought together high-level sports racers who will put a lot of excitement into a spectacular competition that allows you to tour Cuba on tracks and technical trails with lush vegetation.

While this small group of cyclists will fight for victory, the bulk of the participants will fight for their own goal: finish the race and enjoy unique landscapes. We found participants from 11 countries with representatives from the United States, Mexico, Colombia, Venezuela, Costa Rica, Germany or Austria, among others.

Among them are distinguished participants such as former Formula One driver Jaime Alguersuari, ultratrails runner Núria Picas, journalist Antonio Lobato and youtuber Valentí Sanjuan.

All of them, up to a total of 150 adventurers, will discover the goodness of Cuba and its people, who are preparing to receive with all honors the participants.

The event begins next December 3rd with the prologue in Havana, touring the main streets and monuments of the city as the Malecon or the Plaza de la Revolución. Later, the athletes will face the stages in Soroa and Viñales until the mythical arrival at the white sand beach of Cayo Jutías.
